IF I WERE TO EMAIL CAROL ...

HAPPY SWINE FLU DAY
2 things I heard, and would like to remember ( I heard them in
interviews that Amy Goodman had on democracynow.org ) ... I
will try and paraphrase -
Ahem ...
Pete Seeger imagines masses vs controllers as boxes of sand on
a see saw.
The c side is full & heavy & sittin' down on the ground.
The m's side is up in the air & leaks & the ms keep putting in
sand, but with teaspoons. And their sand leaks out almost
as fast as it is put in. If they stop spoonin' sand, nothin' will
get better, 'cause all the sand will leak out then. So they
keep spoonin' sand, though it's still gonna take forever.
"Augusto Boal, the legendary Brazilian political playwright and popular
educator.... He was the founder of the Theater of the Oppressed, a
popular international movement for a participatory form of theater
as a means of promoting knowledge, democratic forms of interaction,
and transformation. "
After a performance in which the actors/peasants said they had to
give their blood for land, some peasants asked him to do just that.
He declined - he was an artist.
That's when he figured out something important.
It's raining. Do you believe it ?! Our weather is wetter
than yours.
It's been so gray & soggy of late that even my happy light
doesn't help ( I see that someplace is selling Happy Lights
now ). Anyway, mine does not help the computer at all.
And nothing is worse than a depressed 'puter.
I've even started taping pictures of the sun on the walls
and ceilings. No help.
Next week I'll sign up for the Sun Seminars that the
state gov't is giving for 9.95. ( they do that so people will
stay up here. )
If that doesn't help, I'll take a course at the local college.
Or maybe I'll invent a solar panel the stores up energy and
makes artificial sunlight to be used on cloudy days.
I can be really tan. ( I just hope nobody thinks of it first. )
Connie is reading Gillian Roberts mysteries ( her books
have punny titles. )
I finished one of the books I started last summer and I'm
more then half-way through the other ( Christopher Moore's
COYOTE BLUE ) ... soon ... soon.

MOTHERS' DAY, SWINE FLU, VISIT, PILLS

HAPPY SWINE FLU DAY !!!
Stay away from pigs !!! They're either rabid or flu-ish.
And only eat bacon from happy pigs - like I do.
( I always ask the wait-person if the meat came from happy
cows or pigs or chickens, eggs, too, or bison or corn or dogs.
I won't touch it otherwise. Who wants to eat unhappy stuff ??
Especially, unhappy corndogs !! )

Pig guerillas were given 701 billion U.S. dollars on Thursday as
a gift to encourage them to stop sending Swine Flu spores
in envelopes marked 'SEXXXY' to US lawmakers.
"No more Swine Flu spores will be mailed from this postmark
to US lawmakers after today.," said the spokesperson for
the guerillas, Juanita.
"Well, that's good news," replied the US lawmakers' spokes-
person, Bill.
Next in the worldwide pandemic crisis is to give 700 billion
U.S. dollars to Tom up there and then 600 billion US dollars
to the American taxpayer, Jim. "Then we just have to sit back
and watch," President BO is quoted as saying in an information
distributing release last Friday.
We got to see Nathan last night ( Leah brought him over ).
He's up from NM to visit friends around Seattle and etc.
We visited 'til Thess finished her shift at the co-op then they
( Leah & James and Thess and Nathan ) headed out to eat and
do Friday night stuff.
It's supposed to rain for a few days - until the middle of next
week. Then the weather will be cooler with only partly rain
( 'rain' that comes down in half drops ).
SAME DAY - 8:14 PM
We got to see everybody today ... Thess, Leah, Seth, Sue,
Nathan, James, Gabby, Becky, Jack and Luke.

TO FINISH...
They all played "work up" type baseball in the backyard,
with Jack's and Luke's real mitts and baseball and a stick
they found out there, then L&J, T and N went downtown to
eat and Sue took Becky back out to the house she is house-
sitting in and we got Seth & Gabby and Jack and Luke to
sit through a lot of the first movie in the LOTR trilogy
before they had to go.
and it rained like Olympia.
But today is partly sunny - er was - er is - er ...
And today is 'ready-the-pills-for-next-week' day, but I got
mixed up on the coumadin doses ( it's a generic, called
"warfarin" ) and they have me take 7.5 mg some days and
10 mg others ( and, once some were round and pink - now,
the same some are oblong and yellow ) and these pills are the
ones that are adjusted frequently to keep my blood
thinnatousness just right. Anyway, as I 'progressively'
digress, I require more help with stuff that I once could
figure out for myself. The physical stuff is easy to feel when
it goes whacky, but the mental stuff does not show up easily.
It, that mental stuff - forgetting, not knowing how to start,
arranging things wrong, etc. - requires more and more help.
Connie had to help me figure how to set up pills for next week.

THIS IS WHAT I WROTE TO RADREM ON EASTER
2009-04-08 - wed
I didn't know that batteries could learn. The ones in my short,
hand-held Scrabble Express game have started to beat me.
Me ! The 3-letter word champion of the bathroom ! Thank goodness
batteries run out of juice and die, else they would learn enough
to take over all my stuff !

Carol , what games do you use (maybe I've hear of them ). I have
a few downloaded. Mostly though, I play free stuff - "on-line/
browser-based." Most game sites have 'free-to-play' games. Just
go on line, go to their http( or is it 'htpp') and click on a picture
and one can save the universe ( or move pieces around )( or smelt ).
One doesn't have access to the 'higher' functions of the games,
but I don't do straight or fast, anyway.

Right now I cannot get on the web. I would 'reset' the modem, but
I cannot get on my knees, either. I fall down ( yes, even from my
knees ). And the modem is on the floor, under the stand, out of
the way.
Sometimes I do recognize how dependent on screens ( the web )
I am for bad news. The world fiscal crisis. How many billions I
owe - or Fletcher & Ivy owe - and Cassy & Lolly or Jack and Luke.
Long after we're gone, they'll still be slaves. But, maybe, happy
slaves ( like Dad was )... singing and workin' ... and contributin'...
and writin' and readin' ... I'm such a bummer !!!

AN E-EASTER CARD !!!
Thank you for the Easter card. It's super-great !!!
And it got me to wondering :
Which came first, the cute little bunny or the egg or the cross
guy ? or the mouthful of hard-boiled yolk or the whistle ???
or the church of England ????
2009-04-12 - sun - & Easter
I get to be the neighborhood J.C. this year ! There's not much
to it. Not much to do, 'cept hang on the power pole at the end
of the block ( in shorts - that's the worst part - it's still
raining from the last time I wrote you ) and look up.
It's only for two weeks and I get all the apple-cider vinegar
I want...AND I get to lose weight. AND ... when I come down, I
get to eat all the eggs I find ( even the ones at the Capital ).
Sometimes I wish the globe would warm faster and across
the middle of the U.S. would turn to desert faster and water
shortages would hurry up and get here. We're in the perfect
spot, just 30 years to go. Oh, well.....
At least it's not still Wauconda - which was 60 years too soon.
Being too too soon can be tedious. That's why I invented
'The Tedious Formula.' T = MC2. It may look familiar, but
it's not.
( I tell myself that it's all gonna happen just like I thought -
the 'come crashing down' thing - I'm just too far ahead of me. )
We're to have an Easter-family-food thing today, so I have to
be ready and look normal. I figure that at half a day ( I use
my airport time-thing from years ago - "Either I'm an half-hour
early or one hour late." It works for everything for me. )
( hereafter I will call it "THE AIRPORT TIME-THING FROM
YEARS AGO" or "TATTFYA" or just ATT or AT or A or
maybe "Q," for some reason ).
Seth will not be here at the Easter-family-food thing. He is
piping in Smokey Point ( which is N. of Sea. ), so he and a
couple of other crew members scored a room at the Smokey
Point Motel ( which they share ) and he uses Sun. to return
to the job site.
